Oh just wanted to share a few odds and ends from the last few days. Not much time for anyting but studying and sneaking in edit time. I honestly can not wait for semester break. A total of almost 3 weeks off. And I got a wicked sweet hair cut from my friend Cynthia at Cut Loose. Have to show that off of course. Anyways, enjoy and feel free to always share the love.

I can’t believe its January 10th already. School has started so I have been kept pretty busy with my studying. I’m currently taking the Practical Nurse Diploma program through BowValley College in Calgary. Fun stuff. Hoping to juggle this and my photography. See how that goes. I have a few shoots coming up this month in Calgary with some models and then I have 10 or 11 students from Morrin that want to sit for me. I know a lot of people have new years resolutions and what not. Me I try to avoid those. I do however have a couple of goals for this year. To improve my night photography and to become accreditted with the PPOC and to complete a 52 week photo project. I know some people say do the 365 day project but honestly I would be disappointed in myself for either giving up or just basically taking crappy photos. When photography becomes a chore and I’m forced to do it, it loses its inspiration for me. This is my passion that fullfills that artistic place inside me. When it becomes work it no longer feels that way. Anyways just my first two pictures from the 52 week project. As always, comments thoughts or likes are always appreciated.

All things great and small of course. Cutest dalmation puppy EVER. And a shot of my house cat in natural light. Really no explanation necessary. Just for fun.

Ok so it’s known that I love dogs. I love all animals but especially dogs. A friend came out the the farm the other day and I took that opportunity to get some shots of her adorable pooch Leo. Leo wouldn’t go very far from his moms feet but we did manage to get a few good shots. Enjoy.

Well for those of you who know me, you know that I love animals. Always have, always will. I am fondly referred to as the stray lady at work. I am constantly bringing home animals. Whether they need treatment over the weekend, or I am boarding for a friend; I usually have a variety or critters surrounding me. My husband is a patient man who tolerates this whimsy of mine. Much to my good fortune. When I go out shooting, I take my dog Jake. He is a golden retriever cross with border collie. I at one point had a show dog and lets just say the neighbours cattle dog found her very fetching. When my show dog Rowan was taken from our farm a couple of years ago I was lucky enough to get one of her pups back from our local bylaw enforcement agency as a surrender. Jake came with huge separation anxiety and suffice to say where ever I go he goes. It doesn’t take much coaxing for him to join me in whatever plans I have. Including being on top of one of our bails that I had used as a prop in a friends family photo shoot I did.

These are really nice
Can I ask how you processed these? The two of just the dog look almost like a detailed, colored drawing! ^_^

Why is this post in creatures big and small?
Its actually Odds & Ends things that don’t fit into a category. Lol.
