This has been a super busy summer for me personally and professionally. I am diligently trying to get caught up on my processing and get my clients there images. I realized I am even further behind in blogging. I had a country wedding this last weekend and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. The lovely Loreen from Loreen May Photography has been second shooting for me all summer and we definitely make a fantastic team. Hopefully we can continue to work together next wedding season because it truly was a great teaming. Just a small share from last saturdays wedding. Hope you enjoy.

I met Erin in January of this year to do engagement photos and talk about her big day. Her and her wickedly awesome fiance Tyler braved the minus 20 degree weather that weekend and we planned out how things would go this summer. Fast forward 7 months and we had another extreme day with the sun and humidity. The morning came and it was overcast and rainy but later on the sun came out and it was an amazingly beautiful day perfect for her and Tyler’s wedding.
Naturally as a wedding photographer I have been to many weddings. I second shoot for a lovely gal in Calgary and still I have to say that against every other wedding I have been to, Erin and Tyler’s ceremony was the most beautiful and inspiring ceremony I have ever witnessed. These two scream class all the way. Both are generous and warm and so obviously in love with each other that it truly was an honor to be part of their special day. So I hope you enjoy this sneak peek. Just looking at your images makes me feel warm and glowy inside all over again. Hope your having an amazing time in Napa! Hugs and congrats!

I love weddings. I love the whole day. The crazy energy, the happiness once they have said I do! The build up and the aftermath. There is nothing more beautiful than two people affirming their love in front of family and friends and the promise that goes with it. This is just a sneak peek from Chelsi & Chris’s big day in Drumheller last weekend.

Families are one of the most important things in our lives. To often we take for granted the relationships we have and sometimes its nice to just take the time and acknowledge the bond there is between people. I love seeing grandparents and their grandkids and for this session I really tried to relax and enjoy the moments of these kids with their family and grandparents. Hope you enjoy. Cheers.

Now that I am finally finished school I can properly devote the time needed to my business. I was going through older blog posts and realized I had never finished putting up the entire set. Will be playing catch up the next few days so hopefully you all enjoy the new eye candy. Cheers!

So I have been super busy with school and trying to get caught up on a couple of sessions but a corrupt hard drive has been putting some kinks in my workflow. Slowly working backwards and getting caught up. These are of a little angel I took a couple weeks ago. Hope you enjoy.

It was wickedly cold, about minus 23 but Erin and Tyler were troopers that wanted to celebrate their engagment and upcoming wedding this summer. I was amazed my camera didn’t freeze up on me in protest. We headed out to Erin’s grandmas farm and did some shooting around there for sentimental reasons and then headed to Drum for hot chocolate and warmth. Just a sneak peek of a few from that day. Stay tuned for more.

Well what more can a photographer ask for either. It was snowing, which I prayed to the weather gods for. Wasn’t too cold, or wet and this couple was not only beautiful on the outside but just as nice in person. After talking to Amber in early fall about an engagement session once she got back from vacation, I will have to admit I was worried. Winter in Alberta is notoriously brutal. Some days freezing cold. And for you yanks, I don’t mean cold at like 21 degrees Farenheit. I mean freeze your toes off minus 22 Farenheit which is bloody cold.
The camera does not like to work in that type of weather let along the photographer. I can add the layers to stay warm but I can’t keep the camera from frosting up. But mother nature worked with us and it was beautiful out. Wayne is a little community outside of Drumheller that is beautiful and perfect for pictures. Lots of great scenery and different spots close to one another. Amber & Eric were such good sports trudging through the wet snow. I am simply shaking with excitement to share these with you. Hope you all enjoy them as much as I do!

Chelsea and her family met me at her parents local farm and we took some amazing images just in her back yard. The kids were great, her and her husband were awesome, basically the whole shoot was amazing from start to finish. I really love outdoor sessions, something about it just makes me smile. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
